IMPLEMENTING THE NETWORK AND CONSOLIDATING THE PARTNERSHIP (FINAL MEETING IN THAILAND)

During this event the final workshops and the closing meetings will take place.
Both reserved workshops and open sessions are foreseen. The final workshops, regarding all the WPs, are addressed mainly to the partnership members (around 15 up to 20 persons from the partner institutions are expected to participate to the meeting).
The main stakeholders (local public institutions, scientists and industry operators) will be invited to participate in the open session closing meeting. The seminar will last one day and involve 8 invited speakers. It will be open to general public, with an estimated attendance of about 200 visitors.
Public bodies representatives and market operators will help to provide a wide information to communicate the project results and the further developments to the general public, highlighting the role of the Asia-link programme for the enhanced co-operation among Asia and EU.
The involvement of the companies that participated in the project activities, during the former round tables or thanks to the internships offered to the visiting scholars, will be the strategic lever that should allow the network participants to assure a direct contact between agri-food marketing research and companies operating in the market. The responsibility for the meeting organisation is assigned to the Thammasat University, unless else specified in the detailed activity.

1 Framework agreement for the Network (WP1: Multilateral Networking - 1st day)

1.1 Definition of a multilateral agreement for further collaboration
The meeting is mainly aimed at formally establishing the network and at creating the basis for further expansion to other members, promoting the participation of other universities that already have contacts with the partner Universities, or are interested in developing a similar pathway for their internationalisation strategy. The possibility to develop a common curriculum for a Master course or Ph.D. course will be examined, according to the situation of demand for higher education chances on the sustainable agriculture and/or agri-food marketing and rural development topics.
Output: Multilateral agreement draft, to be signed by the partner universities [Product code: 024-WP1-DRF].

1.2 Credits recognition agreement among the partners of the Network
A final evaluation of the draft recognition scheme prepared during the second meeting will be made. The problems raised by the applications of students for credits recognition during the project, namely for the access for graduate and undergraduate students to courses offered by all the partners will be taken into consideration. A final draft of the Credits recognition agreement will be prepared, with the objective of make it generally valid, also for the credit recognition needs outside of the partnership. After the meeting it will be submitted to the partner Universities administration boards. The approved draft will be published on the Internet site for better information to a wider public of students and scholars.
The responsibility for this activity is specifically assigned to the BoKu University.
Output: Reciprocal credits recognition scheme draft, to be signed by the partner universities [Product code: 025-WP1-DRF].

2 A final balance of the training activities (WP2: Implementation of training activities - 2nd day

2.1 Final report on the overall training activities
This meeting is aimed at presenting and reviewing the didactical materials produced before and during the SIOP course. The material will be edited and a selection will be published on the Web site as first step for the implementation of an e-learning tool. The software alternatives available and suitable to set up an e-learning tool will be examined and discussed. 2.2 Evaluation of the e-learning tool within the Network training activities
This meeting is devoted to a comprehensive analysis and evaluation of the development of the e-learning tool applied to the training activities carried out within the Network. The effectiveness and efficiency of this tool, compared to the performance achieved by the conventional training activities will be taken into consideration.
The responsibility for the meeting organisation is assigned to the BoKu University.

3 Review of the human development activity and presentation of the research results (WP3: study /research collaboration for human resource development - 3rd and 8th day)

3.1 General evaluation of the development of human resource on the base of common research activity and setting the stage for future collaboration
This meeting, reserved to the partners, is aimed at evaluating the results achieved by the several research groups and during the internship periods by the scholars participating to the exchange activities. The perspective of future research collaboration between the partners as well as other research units will be taken into consideration.
The responsibility for the meeting organisation is assigned to the University of Bologna.

3.2 Presentation of final outcomes of the research activity: methodology and markets results
This workshop is aimed at spreading out the results achieved by the several research groups and during the internship periods by the scholars participating to the exchange activities. It will be performed during a "Research session" of the general closing meeting.

4 Closing the project exchange session: Evaluation and future development (WP4: exchanges between universities - 4th and 8th day)

4.1 Tutors review of the exchanges
This meeting is aimed at evaluating the results achieved by the action in the hosting Universities, thanks to the contribution of the scholars participating to the exchange activities, in terms of teaching, research and organisation skills improvement. The responsibility for the meeting organisation is assigned to the University of Gloucestershire.

4.2 Fellows review of the exchanges
This meeting is aimed at evaluating the results achieved by the action on the side of the scholars participating to the exchange activities, in terms of teaching, research and organisation skills improvement.
The responsibility for the meeting organisation is assigned to the University of Gloucestershire.

4.3 Presentation of exchange results to the general public
This workshop is aimed at spreading out the results achieved by the scholars participating to the exchange activities, in terms of teaching, research and organisation skills improved thanks to the action. It will be performed during a "Exchanges session" of the general closing meeting. Both tutors and fellows will be involved as speakers.

5 Integrating the operators into the Network (WP5: development of industrial relationships and exchanges - 5th and 9th day)

5.1 Set the basis for steady links among HEI and market operators (international traders, producers, local market operators) over the Network IT tool
This workshop will take place during a special open session of the closing meeting, specifically addressed to the operators participating to the meeting.
The main focus will be on the presentation of the Web site basis for the Network, particularly the section devoted to manage the relationships between the universities and the chances for the operators to get access to the services provided them by the web site.
The choices will range from call for internships within companies, participation to training activities of internal staff, use of training tools developed within the web site, and finally the chance to employ the human resource trained within the network.
The responsibility for this workshop session organisation is assigned to the University of Bologna, and to BioAgriCert (associate partner).

6 Final auditing (WP6: Project management - 9th - 12th day)

6.1 Financial/administrative final review
All the issues on the financial aspects of the project will be examined by the general project manager together with the administrative staff of the partners, using the videoconferencing tools.

6.2 Official meeting for closing the project activities
The final workshop, regarding all the WPs, are addressed mainly to the partnership members (around 15 up to 20 persons from the partner institutions are expected to participate to the meeting). During this meeting all the participants for each partner HEI will discuss the most relevant aspects of all the WPs in order to highlight both strengths and weaknesses experienced during the project implementation.
The responsibility for the meeting organisation is assigned to the University of Bologna.

6.3 Set the guidelines for the final report
After the final workshop, a restricted board of the partnership members (around 5-6 persons) will meet in order to define the most relevant aspects that will be described and put in evidence in the final project report, and to assign the tasks and set the guidelines to prepare a publication. An international publisher in Asia will publish the report.
